My Students

We are a Title 1 school, which means a large portion of my students are from low-income families. This year I have 58 of the most amazing students. We are in week 5 of school and I have already seen so many changes as they transition from elementary to middle school.

I teach strategies to help them for the rest of their lives, not just to pass my class.

I want them to have the skills to become life-long learners.

My Project

What better way to get Middle School students to read then to get them hooked on a series. My project is to increase my classroom library with popular series and sports related books for the boys and girls to enjoy. Some of the series are Dork Diaries, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Goosebumps, and Mike Lupica's sports books.

This is my goal! Students that read improve in every subject not just reading. Help me to enhance my current and future student's love of reading by contributing to my classroom library.
