My students mean the world to me. I can't imagine anyone else I would rather spend the day with than these smiling faces. They come in happy and ready to learn and experience our day together.
Students in the lower grades are sponges, ready to absorb anything I need them to know, learn, and use themselves.
They are eager to get to work and make sense of the world around them. It is my pleasure to join on that journey!
My Project
I want book displays to make books stand out and compel my young students to want to read more. When books are in baskets, it is difficult for students to see the titles, pictures, cover, etc. By taking books out of the bins and putting them in displays, it is my hope that students will be more engaged and want to read.
A simple book display can promote reading!
I imagine 'catching' my students looking and grabbing more books because of the display they are on. It is more appealing to take a book when it is just inches away!
