Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are from a low-income area and in order to be physically fit they need to have a hopscotch carpet, a balancing balls game, a swing and catch cups and other games to use during recess and physical education time. We have limited equipment for students to use for good fitness and wellness.
My classroom is filled with very energetic and outgoing personalities.
I would love to be able to provide the students with more materials to aid in their physical development. Some students come from homes where physical fitness means using their hands for video game action and NOT physical action outside. That is why it is so important that students have access to physical activities while at school.
My Project
I am willing to do whatever it takes to make sure my students are successful in both present and future endeavors. After playing with the hopscotch carpet, balancing balls game, indoor and outdoor kids' croquet, swing and catch cups, they will be able to focus better in class, stay engaged and learn to the best of their ability.
My goal is to help students in starting life-long habits of regular physical activity.
Please help me empower my students to become the lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and team players they deserve to be. This project will keep students on task while showing them that they can be in control of their learning. Give my students inspiration for health, wellness, and fitness.
