Every moment is a learning adventure in kindergarten. All learning is new and exciting. My students have so much fun experiencing every aspect of their day. From learning their letters and numbers to experiencing joy at simple things like recognizing their name for the first time. There is always something exciting happening in kindergarten.

We are working together to build a community of learners with a foundation of kindness and compassion. We are learning core life skills such as sharing, taking turns, cleaning up after yourself, honesty is the best policy, being respectful, being safe, and being kind.
We are tactile learners, experiencing everything through hands-on exploration. When we are able to experience it ourselves, first hand, we truly understand.
My Project
My students need various life size specimens to learn the effects insects have in our world. Creepy, crawly creatures are amazing to look at and learn from. Students learn best through hands-on-experiences. Having real insects specimens in our classroom will allow my students to learn for themselves in a safe and non-scary way. Through STEM exploration students can get up close and personal with insects.
Having an iPad will allow my students to research and dive deeper into STEM.
Outfitting our iPad with a protective case and screen protector will allow my students to move around the room and share with each other what they discover. By combining science and technology there is no limit to what we can learn.
