Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are from a Title I school and most receive free or reduced priced lunch. They love to sing, dance and enjoy hands-on learning.
Access and opportunity is a limitation our students try to overcome with creative learning experiences and donors like you!
As teachers, we are striving to provide opportunities for knowledge and authentic experiences in our classes.
A great way to expose our students to such experiences is to provide the tools and creative planning to learn in a fun, engaging environment.
My Project
Insects are very intriguing for our students. Children will be fascinated by these real specimen sets and they are indestructible. These sets provide children the opportunity to learn about organism groups, life cycles, and parts of plants and animals.
Life cycles are fun with board games!
Students will be able to put their knowledge to the test with these fun matching games with animal furs, life cycles and more. Also, a cross section flower model will aid in naming the parts and functions of a flower.
Let us add more hands-on learning with new materials and tools. Bring science out of the textbook and into the real world! Who loves science? We do!
