My Students

I am blessed to teach a group of curious 2nd graders at a Title I school. Despite the challenges many students face outside the classroom, we are building a small community of learners eager to wonder, work, and make a difference in the world.

My students are creative, very inquisitive, and full of energy.

They love being mobile, reading books, and seeking out new wonders. Many households receive free or reduced-priced meals based on their socioeconomic status. Limited resources have prevented some of my students from experiencing the community outside their normal surroundings. That is why I have made it a goal to inspire them daily with compassion and open their minds to new educational experiences.

I want to introduce them to exciting places, history, and a sense of who they can become. The atmosphere of learning, experiencing the wonder, and enjoying new and adventurous ways to learn will help bridge the gap created during the COVID-19 pandemic.

My Project

Having a HP Chromebook laptop will help students locate content for research. The Chromebook will be in a research center where peers work together to obtain answers to guided questions. They will create notes, facts and examples to incorporate in their final research project.

Students will research social studies and science topics concerning presidents, first ladies, historic figures, continents, climate in the tundra and grasslands, etc.

They will seek a variety of kid frendly sources to create research insight from their propective.

The desire to have a research center is to open their eyes to new and exciting information and empower them to seek and share their knowledge.
