My Students

I teach amazing students with Autism and special needs. At times, basic tasks can be challenging for them. They are hard workers who amaze me every day with their drive to persevere through these uncertain times of Covid and navigating through virtual learning. Learning virtually is sometimes a challenge since my students thrive on hands-on learning. Nevertheless, they continue to be resilient and still give learning their all. Their drive to learn is what motivates me to be the best teacher I can be for them!!

My Project

My students with special needs are visual learners. Since learning is taking place on a virtual platform due to Covid, sometimes it can be hard for them to understand some concepts with only voice instruction. The iPad mini could be used to show my students information during our whole and small group lessons.

By donating to this project, it would provide me with a tool to create drawings of the concepts I am trying to teach and enhance the quality of my students' virtual learning experience.

Upon returning to school for in-person learning, my students can use it to engage in educational apps to extend our education content. It will also be used as a reinforcer to encourage students to engage in their school work.
