Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students love a classroom that is meaningful to them! I am on a mission to make that happen for them. Given the challenges out there in the world, I want to make my classroom a warm and inviting space for my students.
My students are always seeking ways in which they could have hands-on learning experiences.
They love to learn, and work as a team! In order to provide this experience, I need funding for the innovative, critical thinking, hands-on resources, which my students would have the opportunity to use and learn valuable skills necessary for the 21st Century.
My Project
Students will use these STEM resources during Math and Science curriculum. Resources like Blocks Blue Print and, Building Brick STEM and STEM bundle will be used during small cooperative groups. Students will use the Blocks Blue Print to understand concepts of planning, dimensions, and architecture. These resources will be great for my struggling students who need support with building their 21st Century Skills.
Students will build on skills like innovation, critical thinking, planning, collaborating and problem-solving.
Students will learn how to code through Code File Folder game and they will learn how to engineer and build different things with Design and Build Engineering Center.
I taught abroad recently and gave my resources away to the teachers there. Now I need STEM resources to build my classroom again. I am starting as a new teacher with very minimal resources.
