This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

First LEGO League is a robotics program that inspires and motivates students to become pioneers in the fields of science, engineering, and technology. Through the use of programable robotic kits, students design, build, and code robots to complete specific tasks and missions. While utilizing the program materials, students are also practicing the skills of communication, teamwork, cooperation, inclusion, and problem-solving in a fun and supportive environment. I have been successfully implementing this program in my school for three years now and because student interest has grown, I am now in need of more materials to expand this program so that I may offer it to more students. By increasing the number of robot kits that I have, I will be able to include more students in my program and provide a great opportunity to foster a love of STEM while practicing skills that will help them be successful in any future program or career field.
