I teach STEM at my school to all grade K-5. My students are creative, confident, and full of questions. They love coming to school and being challenged with new things every day. They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions!
They are also very loving students that look after each other and help each other day through out the day.
If one student is struggling with something they will also try to help them.
The students truly make it a blessing to be a teacher. I would like to give them the opportunity to be able to have a selection of different seating to help them better learn.
My Project
We all know those kids that can't seem to sit still. They wiggle, roll, and kick just to accommodate their need to move. Wobble chairs, fidget bands, and similarly engaging seating will allow my students to activate their whole bodies while they are learning. The materials requested will let my students move while they work which will help them stay focused as they study.
Bright colors and a variety of seating options will allow my students to stay engaged.
I can't wait to see how something as simple as mixing it up from traditional seating will make a drastic difference for my students.
