This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Sports are an outlet for many of today's youth and baseball in the urban setting is a dying game. Help us breathe new life into our program.

Our students come from an inner city urban setting and have had little to no exposure to baseball due to the high cost of the sport.

We are working to build the program and give them the tools and training needed to compete in the highly competitive high school athletics. These are highly motivated student athletes that simply want to increase their skills and compete.

My Project

The students will be able to use the bag to house the new set of catcher's equipment that replaced a set that was overly worn. The balance trainer will assist with preseason workouts that will help the students build their core and increase their endurance. The bat, well the bat will be their first new bat in 3 years and will defiantly be a welcomed member of the team.

This project will make a difference as it will provide items for the team to learn discipline.

Bags help prolong equipment use for years to come. Additional workout equipment helps to strengthen both the body and the mind to get through workouts. The baseball bat is a necessary tool and contrary to popular belief, a good bat can hit it a long way!
