This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Sports are an outlet for many of today's youth and baseball in the urban setting is a dying game. Help us to continue improving our program.

Our students come from an inner city urban setting and have had little to no exposure to baseball due to the high cost of the sport.

We are working to build the program and give them the tools and training needed to compete in the highly competitive high school athletics. These are highly motivated student-athletes that simply want to increase their skills and compete at a high level.

My Project

The student-athletes will utilize the Swing Away to allow the players to get a high number of swings in daily. Practicing offense is very time consuming and the players will be able to maximize their efforts with this wonderful tool. The batting tee is an essential tool in baseball. The players will be able to use the tee to also get more swings in and work on offense. The pitchers rubber and home plates will allow our pitchers to get the work they need. Being able to set up additional mounds will allow adequate time for the pitchers and catchers to work on their craft.

Your donations will help give out student-athletes the tools to build more confidence in the sport.

Keeping up with training can be a difficult task and any way to increase productivity and rigor on the field is a step in the right direction. Our students appreciate your efforts greatly.
