This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember when black and white televisions became color? Perhaps that's a little too far; do you remember the first time you saw a black and white tv and wondered... why? Why would anyone want to watch black and white when the world is full of color?

I teach in a school that is set in the middle of an extremely diverse community.

We have students that are learning English as their second language, students from low income families, and students from middle class families. Regardless of their background, they all love to learn with technology and hands-on materials.

My Project

My students need ink for our color printer and cardstock to print on. When they create work on the computer, they love to print it off and see their work on paper. To their eyes, it is most beautiful when full of color. These ink cartridges will encourage them to use their imagination every day. When we run out of ink, we have to convert back to the black and white printer, and the kids wonder, "What happened to my picture? It was beautiful and now it is boring."
