My Students
Do you remember seeing your typed work on the bulletin board in your classroom? Well, my students are always enthusiastic and proud about seeing their work published in print. It gives them a great sense of accomplishment.
I work in the South Bronx teaching sixth grade ELA at a middle school where 98% of the students receive free lunch.
It is difficult for them to bring classroom supplies, let alone help for the extra things we need in class. We complete tons of projects using Microsoft Office software and PowerPoint that require printing, so funding this project will be a huge help!
My Project
Having access to ink and copy paper will also help students to print their published work, meet their technology goals, and complete other related assignments for the 2015-2016 school year. We complete tons of projects using Microsoft Office software and PowerPoint that require printing, so funding this project will be a huge help!
Having ink and copy paper for our copy machine will help us stay on track with testing and assessment and also allow us to do those really cool student-discovered or spur-of-the-moment projects, that they always beg us to do.
It would be such an amazing gift, not only to my classroom but to the rest of my middle school team.
