My Students

My students are from a high-risk poverty area. Our school is very limited on supplies, and the budget teachers get each year is not enough to maintain what we need for our classrooms. Many of my students come to school looking for a hot meal and a warm room with plenty of tools to learn with. I want my students to feel at home while at school to help build their learning, create positive experiences, and maintain a safe environment.

My Project

My students need a color printer so we can print math and reading games to use throughout the year. We have both reading and math centers everyday and it can be difficult to print these games from my home printer and ensure my students have fun, engaging instruction.

My students come from low socioeconomic homes and come to school looking for a stress free environment.

It can be stressful on the students as well as myself to get these materials together so they can learn the skills and concepts they need. Many times, I have to ask for help to get resources and items printed for the weeks to come.
