This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We have some of the most AMAZING students in our school! While many face some unbelievable challenges each and every day, my kids come to school ready to learn! My students are excited about math especially Station Fridays.
At a high needs school in Brooklyn, my students face an unimaginable range of challenges on a daily basis.
One thing that is constant in their life is school. Each day, these students come to class and try their best, despite any obstacles they may face. It is hard to get students excited about learning when they are faced with poverty and homelessness.
My Project
My 7th graders are the most amazing students and just like every other public school the funds are not there for simple supplies like ink and paper.
These materials will be used daily to help us in our learning.
Ink, copy paper and colored paper is used to by students to print assignments and used to differentiate materials, as well as to supply students with resources and checklists to go back to when solving a constructed responses in math and when editing their writing.
Donating to this project will not only add to student fun, but also lead to my students' academic success. All of these materials will help engage students in learning, which leads to better work products, which in turn leads directly to student achievement.
