My Students

I teach career prep at WFB Middle School in Valley, AL. This year we have transitioned to using an internet based curriculum for CP. Students turn in most of their work on Edgenuity or Google Classroom. This gives everyone a head start on using technology before even entering the work force later on. My students at Burns come from a wide variety of families. Chambers county is one of the poorer counties in the state of Alabama. Because of this, a good number of my students are not presented with the same opportunities as others across the state. Projects that I plan to do with DonorsChoose will give everyone an opportunity to do something different in class every day.

My Project

Any items given through Donors Choose will help improve the classroom environment. I plan on using all donations to make everything run smoother in class. This year I have changed from PE to a more traditional classroom role. With this project I plan to use the ink given to print off handouts for students during class. I plan to use the table to create a station for charging chrome books. I am confident that this will bring something new to the classroom for sure. Overall, I look forward to using these materials when the project is complete.
