Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are from a low-income/high poverty neighborhood. They are faced with numerous challenges both in and out of the classroom with limited access to educational resources. All of my students, based on their parents' socioeconomic status, receive free breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner (if they so choose).
My class consists of diverse learners.
Numerous students in my class are functioning below grade level with four RSP students. I would like to provide my students with more technology that would give them access to more resources, which will provide more opportunities to learn. This will open up the opportunity that is not accessible due to the limited budget we have to work with. I'd like to assist my students in closing the achievement gap.
My Project
My students are in need of ink cartridges for our classroom printer so they can print out their assignments and projects. Since my students are using Google Classroom (documents and powerpoint slides) to create their projects and writing assignments, they need to print out their finished work. My students would like to have a supply of ink cartridges so they can print out and see the results of their creation and be proud of their hard work and effort.
Can you imagine the joy on my students' faces when they can actually see their own finished projects being printed out on papers?
This way, my students can display their finished projects and be more inspired and motivated to show off their learning. My students would like to have more successful learning opportunities in life and society.
