My students are fun, energetic learners that love to participate hands on activities. Activities in which they can use their imagination and creative thinking to learn are their favorite! Nearly 100% of my students come from low-income families which makes it very difficult for them to participate in the kind of activities they would like on their own due to the cost of materials needed.
My students are eager to learn and apply their knowledge to all kinds of different projects, from literacy to math.
Some past projects include book reports, science experiments, Dream Jars, and trioramas. While these projects are all great and offer creative ways for them to learn they are anxious to step it up a notch with more intricate and challenging activities.
The Cricut machine will allow my students to make their imaginations come alive. With the Cricut Maker students will be able to cut hundreds of materials, from paper to Balsa wood and everything in between and beyond. They could create everything from Wilbur in Charlotte's Web to a 3-D puzzle of a dinosaur!
The ability to extend lessons far beyond the book or concept is limitless with the Cricut Maker.
All academic areas will be supported through the projects students produce, while encouraging them to use higher level thinking and creativity. Students and learning will thrive through creativity with Cricut.
