Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items requested for this project are to be used during indoor recess. We are currently in our winter/rainy season and many days per week are spent inside. Students can't run and play, making up their own versions of familiar outdoor games.

I want to give my students the opportunity to still be creative, and build language (vocabulary), while playing indoors.

During this important time of their academic careers they learn about a community and being good citizens and put those skills into practice during recess.

It is their one time per day to be a child, use their imagination, and have fun. The toys requested (nesting blocks, dollhouse furniture, Legos, wood block building sets, PicassoTiles, car playmat, Lego figurines, and doll house people) will give my five year old's just that.
