My third-grade students view each day as an opportunity to learn and explore the world around them. They develop their minds with new skills every day. These children want to take on new challenges and engage in learning through fun.
My school is Title I and located in a low socioeconomic community with limited resources.
Nearly 80% of our students receive free and reduced-price lunches.
These children do not always have access to materials that will help engage their academical and social learning.
My Project
I am requesting several games and activities for our third graders to use when we are stuck inside during the cold winter months or rainy days. Students can build social skills while having fun playing strategy games with friends, stretch their engineering ideas while building a marble run, or practice nonverbal communication through Hedbanz Act Up!
Learning and having fun can go hand in hand during indoor recess with these games and activities.
Our students work very hard during the day. recess is a time to have fun. When the weather does not allow us to go outside to have some fun, we are stuck inside with limited things to do. These games and activities would bring so much excitement to our students!
