This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have twenty-five Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) students in my classroom. My students are from a large, urban community that welcomes families from all over the globe. Our school brings a special blend of linguistic diversity, background knowledge, prior experiences, and culture. We are a Title I school in a low-income community. Free breakfast and free lunch are available to every child in our building each day.
My students are creative, clever, and very enthusiastic about learning.
The majority of my students read below grade level. They would benefit from a variety of classroom resources to help increase their success in school. My students need to have technology experiences that help foster 21st-century critical thinkers. I want all of my students to be able to use technology in our classroom daily.
My Project
My goal is to make indoor recess a time for students to play games and have positive, social interactions with each other every day. I want this project to provide my students with fun and entertaining activities to play during the long, chilly winter months of indoor recess.
I want my students to be able to make the most of their indoor recess time by giving them tools to help foster creative, imaginative play!
I am committed to keeping my fourth graders engaged in activities that will help them think and develop social skills.
These indoor recess activities would provide a wonderful opportunity for my students to problem-solve and work together while enjoying indoor recess.
