Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are a dynamic group of individuals with lots of personality. They are a fun-loving bunch who look out for each other.

They are thriving in their first year of education and have a passion for learning that is exciting to see so early on.

This class has 23 extremely creative scholars; they are constantly inventing, creating, and imagining.

They all have unique styles of learning and range from auditory to visual to sensual learning styles. This encourages me to become creative as en educator to provide these different learning styles for my students.

My Project

The winters in Minnesota can feel long and cold, especially when you are a 5-6-year-old. We have many days that are too cold to be spent outside so we have indoor recess. I am hoping to add these items to the classroom to make recess exciting and fun for the students.

They work hard the rest of the day on their curriculum and it would be nice for them to be able to play for a period of time.

The activities are still stimulating for the students and the storage bin will help us keep our classroom rule, which is: "keep your classroom clean." We work on personal responsibility and that will add to that.
