My students need an iPad for individualized learning in the special education classroom. They also need a protective case that allows for easy handling for small hands.

I work with 6 different groups of students in 1st through 3rd grade who receive Tier II and III intervention.
We do lots of activities to work on reading fluency, letter and sound relationships, sight words, and basic math skills. Each of my students receive extra support to help them achieve their educational goals. They are hardworking and want to learn. My students are also very funny. They love playing educational games and doing activities that involve movement, songs and technology.
My Project
An iPad will allow my students to learn individualized lessons at a pace appropriate for them. An iPad can be used for reinforcing a concept one student is struggling with. It can be used to teach an extra lesson to a student who has finished early. And it can be used for educational games and rewards when my students have been working hard and need a break. It also allows my students to learn by interacting with technology which is increasingly important in our tech-driven world. We also need a protective case that allows for easy handling for small hands.
Right now the only technology we have in my classroom is my staff laptop.
An iPad would give us access to multitudes of educational lessons, games, websites and apps. These quality resources can be included in my current curriculum to help my students learn at individualized levels that meet their current needs and grow with them as they continue to learn.
