Individualized Learning Tools for the Flexible Classroom!
My students need comfortable chairs to sit on the floor with lower desks and other flexible seating options including balance balls, balancing pods, bouncy bands, and more to maximize individual learning opportunities.
My energetic students walk into the classroom every day fully charged and excited to learn. They like to move, love to read, and are great debaters in our class discussions. We are named Spainhour’s Shooting Stars because our learning capacity is limitless! The community of learners that makes up this spontaneous class is diverse in its background and its needs. In this class of kind, creative, and loving children I want to foster individuality and choice to increase academic growth.
My Project
My students need choice and flexible seating options to manage their active bodies throughout the school day. The desks and chairs will provide students who learn better on the floor a comfortable option to the standard desk or table. The exercise balls will help students at standard desks, who need to wiggle, maintain focus. The bands will convert standard chairs into another flexible option for my high energy students.
The donations for this project will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, it will increase their academic achievement!
Learning in the 21st century classroom can be difficult enough without seating options that distract. With optional flexible seating, students will be able to focus on the academics and learning will increase!
