My Students

I have the pleasure of spending my days with 12 independent, driven, and extremely loving kindergarteners. These learners are talented, thoughtful, and love learning for the sake of learning.

We are currently striving to make our classroom the perfect place for individualized, tailored, learning.

Each learner has a set of individualized goals, tasks, and projects adapted to fit each of their personal learning needs.

In order to really boost our individualized learning environment, the kids and I are looking to purchase a wheeling magnetic whiteboard as well as some flexible seating, so that each child can choose his or her learning environment and set it up to fit his or her needs.

My Project

The learners in our classroom need a wheeling whiteboard and flexible seating to enhance the personalized feel of our room. Right now, each learner is working on his or her own goals, tasks, and projects, and the classroom needs to be more flexible to meet learning needs. The whiteboard will allow for learning and brainstorming to happen all around the room, in any place during our ELA Daily 5 block and our Math Station block. The wobble stools will allow each child to learn using alternative seating that may fit his or her individual needs.
