This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach fourth grade in an low income, high poverty, urban area. The students in my room are my partners in learning. We learn from each other, and from every lesson we do.

We understand that many of us face challenges outside of school that are out of our control. We look at the positives of each day instead of focusing on the negatives. We look at the gains we have made that day, week, or month to remain focused. We strive to overcome the tough days, and it is important to work together, because we are in school to learn. Every day is a fresh start and a new opportunity to do well. We work together like a family, and look out for each other.
My Project
My students will use these supplies for the rest of the school year to complete work and projects. With these supplies everyone will have what they need and everyone will have the same thing. No one will be left out. The children will not have to worry about missing a pencil, or not having glue to finish their art project. They won't have to use the community crayons and markers. They will have their own. Having these supplies will help keep them at ease, and give them comfort. No one will be left out.
Your donation will provide supplies for each of my students, so they can be fully prepared for all of their tasks and projects.
They will have everything they need to be successful. They won't have to borrow anything from the teacher or from another student. Each child will have what they need to be an independent worker. This will help boost their confidence and aid them in the learning process. They can feel safe knowing they have the same supplies as everyone else. They will be prepared to take on any project with ease.
