This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach 2nd grade. The kids at my school are very loving. They try their hardest and will do anything for their teachers. Some live in tough neighborhoods or homeless shelters. They still come to school wanting to learn and happy to be there. We always want to make sure to provide for every student.
My Project
Our classroom could use some more supplies to help every students have individual supplies. At this moment my classroom is going back to social distancing and individual supplies due to a rise in covid numbers. My school is an inner city school and most years I supply most of the classroom's needs. I have been struggling with this since covid.
All students need their own personal supplies to ensure we are safe from sickness.
They need pencil boxed for supplies and to hold their math manipulative. We need sheet protectors to put sheets in the protect them and we can use Clorox wipes to clean them. We need toner ink because I am having to prepare more activities because students are not allowed to share. We need poly folders to keep each subjects work in and we can also clean the folders easily. We need small comp books to do exit slips on so we are no longer passing in individual papers.
