My students are enthusiastic learners, book lovers, and avid readers. They crave the excitement and joy of reading together as a class and having in-depth conversations. My students are inquisitive, compassionate, and creative. The time they spend reading together brings all of us closer as a class.
Having novels in our classroom is so important to my students and is truly valued.
Our classroom library is an essential resource for my students, especially in decreasing possible learning loss from quarantines due to COVID. These books will captivate, inspire, and continue to develop my students' love of reading, a gift that will last a lifetime. They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!
My Project
These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. Having a copy of each of these books will lessen the spread of germs, and reduce the amount of learning loss due to quarantines. All of these classical books have been chosen to be educationally rich and rigorous.
With these new books, my students will be able to have their own copy of the novels we read during class, which allows them the opportunity to continue learning wherever they are.
The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
