it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

These therapeutic items will enhance and support my students, within their classrooms as well as within their therapeutic process. Sensory items such as the brushes, Kinetic sand and putty are often used as coping manipulatives within their class and sessions. Items such as the Elmer's products, color printer, paper cutter, arts and crafts supplies will be utilized in their art therapy sessions to make slime, canvas paintings, drawings, jewelry and much more. The small fidgets and gift cards will be utilized to incentivize my students within their program setting to reach their behavioral goals thorough learning practicing and implementing their preferred coping and social skills. The therapy games will be utilized within group therapy and individual therapy, to teach social and coping skills.
Items will be utilized for each student's individual therapeutic need within our Therapeutic Intervention for School Success program.
Students gave me input on their favorite items to utilize and earn, which helped me develop this list. The students within this school-based program struggle with emotional dysregulation and behavioral outbursts, stemming from childhood trauma. The program provides extra supports within the school setting to assist in stabilizing their overall academic functioning. The items will be used throughout the therapeutic program to support the students’ academic and social functioning. The best way to increase our children’s communication and use of coping skills is to teach and empower them with techniques, strategies and skills. These students have been through many obstacles already in their life, with severe traumas and poor boundaries, the T.I.S.S. program they are currently in will assist them with their skills deficit, so they can get back on track thriving and functioning academically.
