Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a wonderful class of bilingual students. Most of them are second generation immigrants. I would like for them to retain their first language and culture so that they can communicate with their closest relatives.

In order for my students to be truly bilingual they are in need of meaningful resources that will engage their learning.

I would like to provide them with everything they need to be successful because every single one of my students deserves the very best.

My Project

I believe that students learn better when they feel comfortable and safe in the classroom. These four comfy seats will help my students to keep their focus during independent reading time as well as during classroom activities. In this way, students will be more focused on their work.

By giving them choices I am telling my students that I care about them and trust them to be independent learners.

At this age, students should not be expected to be seated in the same spot during the whole school day. These comfy seats will also be beneficial for students to have shared reading time and learn from each other.
