Help me give my students who struggle with reading and other learning disabilities, the independence of reading assignments on their own with a reader pen.

My Project

I teach science to students that have learning and other disabilities. Some have dyslexia and others have disabilities that cause them to struggle to learn to read. There are a lot of assignments that my students could complete on their own, if they could read the directions or the science content presented.

My middle school science students need to experience success with grade level work, but they cannot read grade level text.

They need reader pens with headphones to use while working independently.

Middle school is an important time for kids to learn to be independent while still getting support from their peers and teachers. A text reading pen would show my students that they are capable of working at their own grade level, they just need a little extra support.
