My students need an iPad to allow them to work on interactive activities during independent time. Only one is needed as I have a small caseload and have different activities throughout my time with my kids.

My Students

I have recently accepted a new position for the 2018-2019 school year as the math interventionist. My students will consist of sixth through eighth grade students who struggle in mathematics, but do not have an individualized educational plan.

My students need more personalized and individualized help in mathematics.

My student work extremely hard, but have difficulty understanding the concept. They come to an intervention program to get more one-on-one help in math, and also spend time collaborating with other students.

My Project

My students learn in a flipped classroom setting, which means that much of the instruction is done on the computer. This allows for me to have much more one-on-one or small group time with helping students practice the concept that they had learned. In addition, the class time provides students with an opportunity to collaborate and work with each other rather than listening to lectures.

The iPad will allow me to incorporate more choices for students to practice their new understanding.

I have found activities for one or two students to work on at a time using the iPad. It is also a tool to help differentiate activities. Students will be engaged with these fun, but challenging activities!
