My Students

The school I work at is in a rural area of NC. I work with students with mild-moderate disabilities in order to achieve the greatest academic success possible. I strive to create a safe and inspiring learning environment for all of my scholars.

My students are vibrant, loving and desperately in need of more resources.

They are absolutely the best part of my day. They all bring me so much joy and love for life because of their gentle hearts.

My Project

Each of the snacks that I am hoping to be provided will help my students understand that their hard work will help them to achieve an incentive. These snacks will be part of an incentive system in which students are earning money to purchase the snack they would like. Furthermore, a Kurig is necessary for the coffee shop that we would like to start to raise money for our classroom and work on job skills. Each of these students are certainly candidates for a job in the future and the training associated with job placement does not come naturally to all kids.
