Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 4th grade English Language learners and students with various disabilities in a school in California that desperately needs a boost in technology.

Since my students have a lapse in their ability to use and keep technology in their day to day activities and yet are encouraged and expected to have regular access to it, they need someone to help them get a start at the future.

My students need memory sticks for the computers to keep their files on. They are dealing with a need to be able to use technology in the classroom, save it, and continue at home or at a local library since the lack of computer time in school makes it nearly impossible for them to get computer access every day. Now that they are entering 4th grade the expectations for writing and research are greater than ever and these will help them achieve their responsibilities. A classroom digital camera will allow them to record information from field trips to the missions, museums, and nature explorations that will further reinforce their knowledge of the instruction that they receive and the world around them.

With your help by donating these needed materials, my students will finally have the chance to take a personal jump into their future and give them more of the technological confidence that they need and deserve.
