My second graders are a great bunch of learners that come to school ready to learn every day!
Our school English learners come from low-income housing and they lack of the necessary supplies to be successful.
They literally have to 'catch up' two to three years of English acquisition.
As a teacher, I have to come up with materials that make learning fun. They enjoy having hands-on activities printed in bright card stock. The bright colors capture their attention and they get to learn each English lesson thoroughly. They are also in need of mechanical pencils, regular pencils, and erasers.
The special tall table is for students to use when they need to stretch out and work on a standing position.
As a committed teacher, I feel it's necessary to show all our students that we care about them; and that we want to make learning as pleasant and successful as possible.

My Project
If my project is funded, all my students will be 100% engaged. They will be able to have their 'own' supplies such as mechanical pencils, regular pencils, erasers. They will also be ready to learn with the use of their English activities printed on the nice bright-colored card stock. Also the tall desk will be available for their use every time they need a break from traditional seating.
