This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 87 third, fourth and fifth grade gifted and talented students. Most of these students are low socio-economic. They are a highly engaged, intelligent and eager group of young learners.

Our youth is the hope for the future and need to be able to be challenged, so they can excel.

They are rapidly becoming experts at finding parallels between the past and present by exploring ancient civilizations. They exercise their intellect daily. They are thirsty for knowledge and are willing to do anything to reach their goals.

My Project

If I am funded to attend the Pathfinders Institute conference I will be able to continue my knowledge of coding and bring that knowledge back to help my students grow. My students will be able to improve their coding knowledge using the Junior Botball. Botball is a fun way to get my students engaged and have fun while learning. By incorporating that into my classroom, I can have the best student participation and learning is happening daily.

As I grow in my learning my students will grow along side me, so we can become life long learners together.

If I am funded for this trip not only will I benefit, but all 87 of my students will as well.
