Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am a new teacher who doesn't have many supplies or money to spend on supplies and materials. My students deserve the best. They are in a low income area, and the district does not have much in the way of extras for students. I teach at a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. I want my students to feel like they belong in school and can have the best learning experience. I want each and every child to feel valued and appreciated when they are in my classroom. They deserve it.

My Project

I will be moving back into the classroom this year, teaching first grade! I am excited and motivated to help my students reach their full potential.

My hope is to have these iPad minis in our classroom to use during small group instruction time.

Many of our students have grown up with this technology, so I want to bridge the gap between learning and technology by incorporating them both into one.

While I know this is a tall order, my students will benefit tremendously from your gift. They deserve more than I can give them. With you help, we will both be making a difference in our future world.
