Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students this year are facing new challenges. We reside in a high poverty area and my students all receive free lunch through a grant. My students come from various ethnic backgrounds and have so much to offer not only to each other but to me as well. They teach me how to laugh and not take the little things as seriously as I sometimes do. They are filled with love and curiosity as well as a desire to learn as much as they can.
Every morning they now enter our Google Meets with a smile and big hello.
School is so different for them this year but they are a tough bunch of students who are working so hard to make this new learning work. They all give everything they can and are working on becoming the positive young men and women I know they can be. I am blessed to be working with such a wonderful group of students.
My Project
Teaching and learning in a hybrid model is difficult to say the least. In order to help increase student engagement, I am looking to Teachers Pay Teachers as a resource to improve my virtual teaching. I am looking to incorporate Literacy, Social Studies, Math and Science digital lessons in order to ease some stress for my students.
My students need to be excited about learning remotely.
In order to do that, I am hoping the virtual lessons created by TpT submissions will excite the students while allowing me to taylor my purchases to their needs.
I feel that TpT would allow me the chance to make students excited to want to come to Google Meets and complete assignments!
