This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teaching math to a group of inner city 7th graders in the 21st century is a constant challenge. My goal is to increase student engagement by incorporating as many interactive activities into my daily lessons as possible. My classes will be making posters which explain and show examples of essential math concepts. In addition we use personal whiteboards almost daily.

Since it is the middle of the school year, our supply of various school supplies has run very low.

We are in desperate need of markers, poster board, pencils. tape, etc. Please help me give my students the best opportunity to learn basic math concepts as possible.
