Help me give my students a document camera. The document camera will allow me to review multi-step word problems as well as solving equations and simplifying expressions. This particular camera also includes audio and video.

I've dedicated my teaching career to working with at-risk youth. I feel as though the greatest impact a teacher can make is helping those children whom society seems to have forgotten. The majority of my students are two or more grade levels behind in math and reading. Currently, I teach 6th and 7th grade students in a low-income area plagued by poverty and crime. The school was built in 1920 so we have heating and cooling challenges, as well as other problems that arise due to extremely old age.
I am charged with the task of providing a 21st century learning experience for my students.
Unfortunately, we lack the resources comparable to our counterparts. Students need to be in charge of their learning. I am putting this project together to have materials in the classroom that pique the students' interests, which are primarily technologically-based materials. Through technology I hope to promote collaboration and exploration in the mathematics classroom. The goal is for students to be self-directed lifelong learners.
The document camera will enlarge any items we need it to. I may want to display last night's homework for review. We can use it to model with manipulatives as well as show abstract modeling. This particular camera includes audio and video so that lessons can be recorded. This would be very helpful to be able to send the links to students to review for homework and studying purposes.
In the middle school mathematics classroom, we primarily complete multi-step word problems, solve equations, and simplify expressions.
The document camera would easily allow students to visualize thinking and highlighting processes during word problems, as well as step-by-step completion of equations and/or simplifying expressions. This would be another helpful tool in my classroom for engagement.
