Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My amazing art students are creative; they are willing to go outside the box and outside their comfort zones to explore new materials and methods of art-making and expression.
My students are eager to learn, excited about art, and energetic.
They love learning new methods and materials, and using their personal lives and experiences as ideas and springboards for their artwork.
I'm excited to try new things with them this school year, and hope to continue that learning in the years to come!
My Project
Students will be able to create digital Illustrations and sketches on the iPad as an alternative to traditional art. Students can take reference photos for their work, and classes can experience virtual field trips to Art Museums from all over the world.
Students can create digital artwork, online galleries of their work, and explore new ways to be creative using state of the art tools!
The iPad and Apple Pencil will give students a new way to create that they may not have had an opportunity to do before. The Otter Box will give the equipment the safety and protection it needs when used daily by many children. By having dedicated technology in the art room, students will have opportunities to view and create digital art. I'm excited to see what they can accomplish with this device over the course of the year!
