Celebrating Black History Month

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We are learners, explorers, and researchers all-in-one in my classroom and having more inclusive books as well as puzzles to play with, crayons and pencils of their own skin color, as well as being able to work together to create an inclusive classroom would be beneficial to create a safe learning environment. It is important for my students to see themselves in all aspects especially those who have been empowered in our lifetime and see themselves represented in books and more which encourages them to read and learn more. Also having snack would help with their learning and feeling safe within the classroom. We have been working so hard this year and want to continue.
