Including All Students Through Multicultural Stories

Help me give my students the materials they need to feel successful in our classroom. I would love to have multicultural books in our classroom library so that all students feel represented.

My Students

I teach first grade and many of my students do not have books at home. The majority of my students are from low income families. I would love to have Multicultural books available for them or for me to read to them through zoom or in the classroom. Also it would be wonderful for them to be able to take books home and share them with their families.

My Project

I would love to have Multicultural books available for my students. I want all students to feel represented in our classroom and for them to be able to choose a book and read about a culture that they don't know about is important to me because we are all different and representing each student’s customs and traditions through literature is very powerful.

I want all students to feel accepted and valued for who they are.

I would love to give them the opportunity to take these books home and share them with their families.
