Kindergarten is a special year as it is a year of many firsts and rapid growth. Students are eager to learn and curious about all the wonders that surround them. A lot can be accomplished in a Kindergarten school day as my students are high energy and motivated to learn. We focus on team work, friendship, kindness, doing our best, learning, and having fun!
My Project
The Qball is a fun and engaging way to encourage all students to participate in classroom discussions. At the Kindergarten level, many students are reluctant to speak or speak so quietly that they cannot be heard.
The Qball is a device that will not only be fun to throw and catch, but it contains a microphone that allows students to be heard.
Asking students over and over to repeat what they are saying often just discourages them from talking in the first place. The Qball also helps young learners know who is supposed to be talking and where they should focus their attention. This makes the Qball an instructional tool that can be used at any time throughout the school day.
