I work with fourth and fifth graders in a school where 60% of our students are economically disadvantaged. Some students benefit from a wide range experiences outside of school while others have limited exposure to travel, extra-curricular activities or clubs that offer learning opportunities, team-building and a sense of belonging to a group with a common goal.
One-on-one conferences provide our students a deeper connection to teachers thus enabling the social and emotional side of learning to be acknowledged along with academic goals and progress.
My students enjoy the individual attention conferences offer.
My Project
Upper elementary students require a little boost in motivation to put forth additional effort towards learning. Having small rewards to celebrate their achievements will keep their efforts soaring. Mathematics requires a wide array of basic facts and vocabulary words to support the overall understanding of the math curriculum - these motivational treats will help inspire students to acquire these skills.
Students will enjoy the benefit of their accomplishments with these small rewards of candy treats to celebrate their success.
Learning and celebrating your accomplishments keeps the love of learning going! Now bring on those vocabulary words and basic math facts. We are ready to practice and acquire these foundational skills.
