This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
All of my students attend a Title 1 school and overcome obstacles each day in order to be successful in school. As a PBIS school, we use positive incentives and rewards-based systems in order to motivate and encourage our students.
As my students complete transition-related tasks such as job shadowing, internships, unpaid work experience, and graduation requirements this will be used to incentivize and reward them along the way.
Using gift cards for local restaurants that also offer high-quality fresh cooked food will be a reward and a tremendous incentive for my students.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
