My Students

I teach an extraordinary group of Kindergartners. They are energetic and enthusiastic about learning new things. They love to explore new materials and never get discouraged when things get too complicated.

Although my students are eager to learn, Covid has negatively impacted their enthusiasm about coming to school.

Over 50% of my students have had to quarantine at some point throughout this school year and returning back to school has been a difficult transition.

My Project

I love making learning fun and rewarding. When students prove that they have mastered important content I will reward them with a prize. These prizes include; pop-its, stuffed animals, magic reading tools, markers, and a trip to the classroom vending machine. The students encourage each other and strive to master all of the critical Kindergarten content to earn these prizes. Some of the critical skills are; counting to 100, knowing all of the letter sounds, reading 25 high frequency words, and trying their best throughout the school day. It's so fun to see the excitement on my students' faces when they earn a reward.
