I teach 49 amazing and academically gifted elementary scholars. They enter my classroom with big smiles, are happy, and ready to learn. Many students that come to our school do not speak English. We also have exceptional students included in our class.
We are a Global Magnet Title I school serving 65% low-income families who speak limited English.
We offer Mandarin Chinese and Spanish to our students. Our school also serves parents who work multiple jobs to help make ends meet.
We know that students loves to be motivated and love incentives. Having students prepared for the EOG's can be very stressful. I would like to help relieve the pressure by providing them the opportunity to receive an Xbox and the end of the school year. At the end of each quarter, students will enter a raffle itcket for a chance to win the Xbox if they score at 4 on their report cards. When students take the EOG, students will enter 2 raffle tickets if they score a five.
Many parents do not have the money the purchase the Xbox that can be used educationally using apps and games.
This is a great and fair opportunity for all the students to do their best for many chances to get the Xbox.
Thank you in advance for helping our students stay motivated and encouraged during and throughout this school year.
