I get the privilege of teaching 20 of the most energetic and creative group of students. Although I teach in a low income/high poverty school district, one would never be able to tell looking at my awesome group of kids.
They come to school with a huge smile on their face, their AR books in their hands, and an eager mind that is ready to learn.
Despite the challenges they may face at home, they surely do not let it affect their time at school. They are hard workers who deserve the very best when they are with me for eight hours a day.
My Project
Having access to a variety of snacks and candy allow me to better implement my incentive program in my classroom. I bought a lot of items at the beginning of the year, but I am about to run out. My students get really motivated when they know they have prizes/candy to work towards. Having my stash replenished will make for a great rest of the school year.
Having the seats in my classroom would help out tremendously.
We are currently using broken seats that distract my students when working at my back table. These seats may also be used in other places around my classroom. I may consider having it as an incentive for students who are really showing initiative and improvements. Seating in this seat may be their reward.
These items would be put to great use and my students and I would be so appreciative!
